Croydon HeartWorks kicks off on Tuesday September 24th at 7.30 in Matthews Yard, Croydon, returning with a new programme every Tuesday until Tuesday October 29th.
This Tuesday sees the grand opening of the series with a special appearance by Captain Sensible, performing the first live rendition of ‘Croydon’, his 1982 song about growing up in Croydon and dreaming of life as a star.
There will also be an introduction to Mindfulness, one of the main subjects of HeartWorks, given by Tessa Watt, an experienced teacher of mindfulness, meditation and yoga.
The second talk in the programme will be given by the Croydon Food Bank Manager, Fatima Koroma. And there will be a full hour of music from ‘Homebrood’.
